New Book

I bought a book last night called "Ivy and Bean." It is about 2 girls that are best friends, I think they messed up on the title and meant to put Lily instead of Ivy. What if the book really is about Lily and I. What if someone stole our story and put it in a kids book? What if they stole our soles?

Greeting Card Business/"Missing You"

The Choplettes are a special group of girls. We are adventurers and entrepreneurs. We are spunky and wild. We are fun and imaginative. One of our business ideas has been to start a greeting card line with hilarious photos of ourselves on the covers. Imagine Kim without her tooth in wishing someone a Happy Birthday. Imagine Scary Mary on Halloween, or the Oompah Loompahs on St. Patrick's Day. The possibilities are endless (kind of like the discount bin in a craft store). Last night Kaylene and I went on a tandem bicycle ride and I was inspired. The sky was clear and the stars shone bright. The breeze was lovely and our rhythm was right. Kaylene dropped me off at my house and I left her to ride home alone. I stayed outside for a minute to make sure she could "blast off" alone. She could, but it was sad. It was sad because at that moment I realized that a tandem bicycle should never be ridden solo. It goes against nature and it looks pathetic. So here's my point. One of our cards needs to have someone riding down the street alone on a tandem bicycle. The air is clear, the trees are green, but something is missing. Something is unsettling. You open the card and inside it reads, "Missing You." I think that this would be a highly emotional card. What do you girls think? Please feel free to post more Greeting Card ideas, for posterity.

PMS

Ok......I hate to have to make this particular post about something like PMS, but i can't help myself because it defines me at the moment. I feel that it defines me for several reasons but the most obvious reason to me seems to be the fact that from the moment my coworker pulled out her irritating little sandwich bag full of baby carrots and then commenced to actually eat them within my range of hearing I have been silently hoping that she would die. Is that normal?? I don't think so. Nor is it normal for me to have within my soul a deep desire to eradicate the world of all carrots so that i NEVER again have to hear someone chewing louder than a horse. You would think it would be impossible for someone to chew that loud--but you would be wrong. My next post will be much more cheerful, but it was either vent or commit murder and I felt like this would be the lesser of the two evils.

Pictures

So, Lily and I agree that the pictures of Erin and Becky are far to normal. Unfortunately it was the best I could do, so could you all dig into your picture files and help me get this problem fixed, we can't have any normal pictures floating around... it just wouldn't be right.

Shake that Laffy Taffy

On Saturday night Erin, Becky, Chip, Danny(Erin's brother), and some of Erin's Washington friends and I went and saw Bridge to Teribithia. Before we went Erin and I stopped by a gas station to pick up some treats, we decided on taffy. It was the best decision I have made in years. I didn't realize how much I love taffy, it brings such joy. We ate almost the whole bag during the movie. And went and bought some more today. Oh the joys of salt water taffy! For some strange reason they remind me of the Wollenziens house, I remember Donna having a drawer full of taffy at one point. In fact I think that might have been the last time I ate taffy. Today the taffy I bought only cost 68 cents we were all shocked. Lily said, "I was surprised at how cheap they were especially because of what hard work goes into making taffy. Taffy pullers have such big muscles..." We all laughed .

On to the shaking of the laffy taffy. Last night "the gang" gathered together so everyone could get a chance to stare at Erin. We had a great night, somehow it ended up with Becky and Chip blowing up long balloons (the kind you make balloon animals with) and attaching them to me as a tail. Moments later I was dancing for the whole crowd shaking my tail and doing some pretty technical moves... The favorite move of the night was when I bent over trying to catch my tail through my legs and my tail would bob up and down becoming impossible to reach, everyone laughed, but my guess is they were all thinking, wow kaylene really is the weird one. And maybe there is some truth to that sentence or maybe I just got a little hyphe (if you don't know what this is look it up in the urban dictionary on line). You never can quite "tail" with these things.

The weekend

Erin came to Provo this weekend, and let's be honest it could have been one of the greatest weekends of my life. There was so much laughter and fun and Rubio's.

I need to give a shout out in Lily's direction. The hunger banquet was this weekend and she played a huge part in the planning and execution, plus she gave a speech which was awesome and inspiring. Good Job Lils!!

UNITE!!!!

As many of you may already know I have recently entered the blogging world, and have fallen in love with it. It has become therapeutic for me in some strange way. So I have decided to start up a group blog. The purpose of this blog is to create a place where all the choplettes can come and post thoughts, pictures, ideas and general life info so we can all know what is going on in each others life. So, POST AWAY!!!
